Greek Pot Roast with Macaroni (Kreas Me Macaronia)

Main Ingredients:
3 pounds beef chuck roast
Salt and Pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cups tomato sauce
6-8 whole cloves
1 teaspoon nutmeg
? teaspoon ground cinnamon
? teaspoon ground allspice
Hot, cooked macaroni
Directions:
- Season roast with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in Dutch oven; add roast and brown on both sides.
- Combine tomato sauce and spices; pour over beef. Cover and simmer for 1 to 2 hours or until beef is tender. Remove beef; cover with foil.
- Bring juices to a boil; boil uncovered 5 minutes or until liquid is reduced to 3 cups. Slice beef; spoon some of sauce over beef; serve remaining sauce with macaroni. Makes 6-8 servings.
